2:22 pm - I'm obsessed with my Nintendo DS
bte66 I’m completely obsessed with my new Nintendo DS. Does anyone else have one? How did you get it?

I actually got mine from one of those freeipod type sites, but this one was for gaming systems. They do a thing where as long as you do one offer and get 4 referrals to complete their offers, they send you one in the mail.

I think this is the site:
Nintendo DS

Anyways, my question is for anyone who has ever received something from this Gratis Network (the people in charge of this site.) It apparently took my DS only about 2 weeks to arrive in the mail (the normal time is supposed to be about 4.) It took a couple of my friends about 6 weeks though and my cousin had to wait close to 8. Does anyone know if they are just slow because so many people are doing this now? How long did it take you guys to receive one if you did?

1) I do booking in the Tampa Bay, Florida area. Bands, hit me up!
2) I'm unsashamedly posting to promote my band, The Dirty South Apocalypse, but I'm also interested in just getting some potential pen pals. Real mail is awesome, internet will also suffice.

At any rate, we are looking for people to either help book us shows for our tour or to come out and see us play when we come to their towns. One of the only redeemable things about this whole band promoting horseshit is that it might actually make it possible to meet fun kids elsewhere.

Our Band:
The Dirty South Apocalypse
The Label who put out our records:
Forever Escaping Boredom Records. and their sound site
Some reviews:
On my journal, linked here!

Some Distros that carry our record: (Ebulition is currently sold out, and I know there are others, but here is a short list):
Revelation HQ! , Deadtank Distro, Nation of Kids ( in Gainesville FL), Interpunk, Electric Human Project , Electric Human Project, Stickfigure Distro, Flying Monkey, Collective Zine (UK), Life In a Box (UK), Missing Link (Australia)

The nerds need to spread this movement -- we need to make change. Only by downloading my new song can we bring forth this message: we won't stand for lip synching whores. Not that I liked her music anyway.... but she blamed her band after being caught lip synching! SHE BLAMED HER BAND. That's terrible. Blame somewhat talented people or your image will be destroyed. Burn in hell.

3:47 pm - *cough, taps microphone* H-Hello?

Hey everyone, just wanted to introduce myself! Name's Maritza, I'm 19 and addicted to video game music so of course this community seems like a goldmine! I'm trying to burn my 3rd vg music cd and wanted some suggestions.

The third is mostly misc w/ no real theme. So far I've got Turok, FF, Castlevania and some other mario-themed 64 games. Any suggestions?

3:59 pm - The Advantage

Hey, that amazing Nintendo band The Advantage (www.theadvantageband.com/) just released their full-length Cd, and it's fucking amazing. I reccomend it to all nerds.

Track Listing:
Megaman 2 - Flashman
Double Dragon 2 - Stage 2
Goonies 2
Bubble Bobble
Bubble Bobble - Shark Skeleton
Wizards and Warriors - Intro
Bomberman 2
Bionic Commando - POW Camp
Super Mario Bros. 2 - Underworld
Super Mario Bros. 2 - Overworld
Contra - Snowfields
Zelda - Fortress
Batman 2
Megaman 3 - Dr Wiley Stage
Double Dragon 2 (story and boss music)
Castlevania 3 - Epitaph
Ninja Gaiden - Mine Shaft
Mario 3 - Underworld
Blastermaster - Stage 2
Ghosts 'n' Goblins - Intro
Ghosts 'n' Goblins
Castlevania - Stage 3
Marble Madness
Metal Gear - Jungle
Contra - Boss Music
Castlevania 3 - Evergreen

I love all the songs. Even if you don't remember some of the games (I've never played Goonies 2), you can just sit there and listen to the audio orgasm... great stuff. The "Super Mario Bros. 2, Underworld" theme is a dark distorted masterpiece. I am just amazed at how precise all these songs are. Really skilled players and yada yada sorry.
